Several members have reported to us over the last couple months that they have received phone calls or text messages asking them for their EFCU account information. This information includes account numbers and debit and or credit card numbers. The phone calls are usually automated. Electrical Federal Credit Union does not engage in these types of phone calls or text messages. These are fraudulent calls made by criminals who are trying to gain access to your account information. Do not disclose any information pertaining to your EFCU account or any other bank account that you have to any person or automated voice system who calls you. If a call was being made by the actual credit union, bank or credit card processor, they would already have this information and would not need to ask for it. |
