About Us

Proudly serving our members for over 50 years.

Electrical Federal Credit Union was established in 1953 to serve the financial needs of IBEW Local 68. For over 50 years we worked to grow and enhance our organization, expanding our financial services to help other labor unions and select Denver area groups and businesses.

EFCU has 2 locations to serve its members and offers convenient services including online bill payment and more. Today, EFCU serves the following unions and groups with pride:

International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 68
Electrical Workers Local IBEW 111
United Food & Commercial Workers Local 7
Cement Masons Local Union 577
Carpenters Local 1068
AFSCME Colorado
Kaiser Permanente Health Care
Mobile Tool
Office & Professional Employees International Union Local 5 AFL-CIO

As your credit union we can offer you significantly better rates over most banks. Credit unions price loans, pay interest on funds you've deposited, and charge fees to provide you with high-quality, low-cost services. Banks price products and services to make a profit. You earn more on your savings--in some cases up to one percentage point--at the credit union.

Our loan rates also are better. Did you know that the average credit card interest rate is four percentage points better at credit unions vs. banks? Credit union auto loans average almost one and one-half percentage points less than banks' auto loan rates. Credit unions make consumer loans. Banks offer consumer loans, but often emphasize business loans.

Because you're an owner of EFCU, your say in how we do business is important to us. Let your elected board members and the EFCU staff, know how we're doing, and what additional services you want at your credit union. We look forward to serving you.
