P2P Payments

Person-to-Person (P2P) Payments is a simple solution to pay anyone with a mobile phone number or email address – even if they aren't an EFCU member.  Whether you owe a friend for lunch or need to pay a babysitter or just want to transfer money to your account at another financial institution, you can send money from the convenience of your online or mobile banking account. It’s simple, secure and there is no charge or personal account information needed.

How it Works

1. To send money, log into your account.  Under Transfers click on P2P (Person to Person) Payments.  For a new recipient enter the recipient's email address or mobile number, recipient nickname, the amount to send, date and frequency of the payment, payment comment and then Submit.

2. The recipient will then receive a link either by email or text, which will request that they provide their financial institution routing number and account number to accept the funds.  They will be required to create an account in the P2P Payments system.

3.  The recipient has 24 hours to respond to the link.  Once the account is created and the account information is submitted, that recipient will be saved under your Recipients and funds can be sent to them again in the future to that same bank account without having to send them another link.
